Flag of Bahia
Adopted June 11, 1960 [1]
Designed by Deocleciano Ramos? [2]
Proportions 7:10 [3]

The flag of Bahia has four equal horizontal stripes alternating white and red, with a blue square canton the same height and width of the height of 2 stripes. In the center of the canton is a white equilateral triangle.

The overall design is based on the flag of the United States, whose Declaration of Independence guided the Bahians. The triangle is taken from a Masonic symbol. The proportions 7:10 are the same proportions as the flag of Brazil.
