The flag of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia bears the Pan-Slavic colors, and its colors very similar those of Russia.
Symbolism[]
It clearly has the Bohemian flag on the top two stripes, but the color code that is not so obvious is Moravia, which is the blue stripe.
Nazi occupation[]
During the Third Reich, Bohemia and Moravia sported the Nazi flag, which had a few changes:
- The wreath was colored silver instead of gold.
- In the upper left corner, there was a silver bird with its wings head outward, but it did not hold a swastika.
- All other corners were empty.
Trivia[]
- If the flag is turned upside-down, it would resemble the flag of Sorbs.
