Greetings, VexiWiki users. This wiki is a wiki of flags. Flags represent the same things that can be represented by nouns: people, places, things, and ideas. The majority of flags on VexiWiki represent places, and most of those are on Earth.
Categorizing flag articles helps organize the information contributed by users like you. These categories are based mainly on the geography of the places that the flags symbolize. Although this is a good system, there has been some dispute over which categories apply to some areas, like Kosovo, Georgia, and Panama to name a few.
What we need is a solid source for geographic information. To determine the following questions for certain areas of land:
- Is it a nation or part of a nation?
- Which region(s) of the world is it in?
- Which regions should have their own categories?
A few choices have been made available below. Please show which source you would most prefer.

I don't understand why we have to base VexiWiki's geographic scheme on some particular source, and I'm not sure what exactly we can borrow from it. WorldAtlas.Com is quite vague, and I'm sure all the other sources are either vague, or not authoritative enough. — Hellerick

- I think that we should decide by ourselves, based on our common sense. This is our website, and we should decide which countries go in which continents. I don't think we should base our descions on other websites. Can't we decide by ourselves?
