Flag of Nepal
Adopted December 12, 1962
Designed by (unknown)
Proportions 5:4 [1]

The flag of Nepal is a very unique flag, because it is currently the only non-rectangular national flag on Earth. It is a double pennant design, as seen in the image on the right, with a blue border, red background, and two national religious symbols in the centres of each "triangle".

[edit] Symbolism

The double pennant design represents the Himalaya Mountains.
