The 1911 flag of Oklahoma consists of a red background with a white five-pointed star in the center of the flag. The white star has a blue border, and in the center of the star is the number "46" in blue numbers.


The red, white, and blue, represent the United States. The "46" represents Oklahoma becoming the 46th state of the United States. The five-pointed star is a symbol of the United States.

In 1917, flags with red backgrounds were frowned upon in the United States because of the 1917 Russian Revolution (see Soviet Union), so Oklahoma changed its flag in 1925. [2]
