The flag of the Transcaucasian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (TSFSR), a constituent republic of the Soviet Union in existence from 1922 to 1936, had a flag which consisted of a red field with a hammer and sickle within an inverted 5-pointed star, and ЗСФСР, all in yellow letters.
This flag was discontinued after the TSFSR was split into three republics, the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic, the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic, and the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic.
