The flag of Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia, is white with two stripes in the lower part: blue (wavy, with narrow blue edging), and red (straight, lower), and the oblast coat of arms in the centre of the white field.

SymbolismEdit

  • The white stands for kindness, modesty, peaceful skies, and pure intentions of the oblast citizens.
  • The blue symbolizes beauty, softness, grandeur, and the Volga river.
  • the red stripe tells about heroic past of the oblast, and that the oblast was formed durind the Great Patriotic War in 1943.
