The flag of the state of Washington, the United States, consists of an evergreen tree green background, and the state seal of Washington in the center of the flag.


The state seal of Washington depicts George Washington, Commander in Chief of the Revolutionary Army, first President of the United States, and acknowledged to be the father of the country. The evergreen background represents the many evergreen trees in the state of Washington.
